2012 ‘Climate for Freedom’ Award
Every other year, the Concord-Carlisle Human Rights Council presents its ‘Climate for Freedom’ Award to a group or organization that has contributed significantly to the climate for freedom in our communities. We invite nominations from the community – if you have seen an organization or group that deserves recognition, please forward a nomination to the Concord-Carlisle Human Rights Council, P.O. Box 744, Concord MA 01742.
The 2010 recipient was the Minute Man Arc.
On December 6th, 2010, the Climate for Freedom Award was presented to Minute Man Arc by the Concord-Carlisle Human Rights Council in recognition of its work on behalf of individuals of all ages with developmental disabilities and their families. The Climate of Freedom Award is given biannually to an organization within the Concord and Carlisle community for its work in promoting a climate of respect for individuals and their families; for providing a space where all individuals are valued and treated with dignity; and for recognizing that all have equal access to basic human rights.
