CCHRC Human Rights Day Breakfast & Climate for Freedom Award

On December 6th, 2010, the Climate for Freedom Award was presented to Minute Man Arc by the Concord-Carlisle Human Rights Council in recognition of its work on behalf of individuals of all ages with developmental disabilities and their families. The Climate of Freedom Award is given biannually to an organization within the Concord and Carlisle community for its work in promoting a climate of respect for individuals and their families; for providing a space where all individuals are valued and treated with dignity; and for recognizing that all have equal access to basic human rights.

The Concord-Carlisle Human Rights Council is a community organization of volunteers working together to foster respect, understanding, good will, and conciliation among individuals and groups in the community. It is dedicated to the belief that all people are entitled to dignity and respect. The role of the Human Rights Council is one of education and advocacy.
